Presenters – Elizabeth Spinney, VT Forests, Parks & Recreation, Invasive Plant Coordinator
Join us for a walkthrough of free online resources where you can learn about invasive species that impact Vermont. This training will guide us around the layout of the VTinvasives.org website, how to efficiently find what you are looking for, and highlight some of the website’s lesser-known features, as well as showcase some other great online resources from around the region. All skill levels are welcome, and we encourage you to submit questions prior to the event. Plan to walk away with an understanding of where you can find information on: what species are of concern in Vermont; their identification; and how to access tools to help implement change in your backyard or your community. Elizabeth Spinney from VT Forests, Parks & Recreation will be our guide. She is FPR’s Invasive Plant Coordinator, which is a grant funded position focused on outreach and education to communities, organizations, and even other state agencies, providing information about the impact of invasive terrestrial plants, and connecting those people to resources to take action.
