Apple Tree Pruning & Maintenance

9 AM – noon

VT forester and tree farmer Dave Wilcox will lead the event, teaching on tree health, when and why to prune trees, and how to choose branches to remove. He will also speak on competition within the tree and from other plants that grow around the tree. Participants will have the opportunity to try out Dave’s teachings apple trees that have not been pruned for a long time. Participants are encouraged to bring their own pruning tools and to dress accordingly as the event will take place rain or shine. For more information, email Dave Wilcox or call 802-793-0265.
