Community Engagement in Town Forests: A Walk and Talk in Huntington Community Forest

Join Kate Forrer, Community Forestry Specialist, and members of the Huntington Community Forest Committee for a walk in the Huntington Community Forest. Learn how the Committee solicited input from the community to inform planning and stewardship activities in the forest. Join us to hear about Huntington’s experiences and connect with other community volunteers working on behalf of VT’s community forests. This event is intended to be a participatory gathering. Come prepared to share your interests, challenges, and successes related to community engagement in town forests. The event is open to all and will include a walking tour of the forest. Be prepared to walk on uneven surfaces and periodically stand to discuss certain topics. The event is free but registration is required. Register here.
