Walk in the Woods: Old Growth Forest Characteristics

While genuine “old growth forests” are relatively rare in Vermont, we can promote and foster some of their characteristics through forest management. Join landowner, Allen Yale, 2013 Northeast Regional Tree Farmer of the Year, for a walk in his woodland as he explores the meaning of “old growth forest characteristics” and shares examples of how he has promoted these characteristics on his land he has been managing for fifty years.
