Recognizing Vermont's Tree Farm Inspectors

The Vermont Tree Farm Program relies on a dedicated team of volunteer inspectors who work with landowners across the state to promote sustainable forest stewardship. 

Outstanding Service Awards

This year, we are pleased to recognize Andy McGovern for his outstanding service to the program. Since 2021, Andy has completed 30 inspections and currently works with 48 Tree Farms encompassing more than 12,480 acres of forestland.

We also recognize Allan Thompson and Ryan Kilborn, who led the state in inspections in 2024 and 2025, respectively.

Finally, we recognized our "unsung inspectors," Rose Beatty and Fred Glanzberg, whose continued commitment helps keep the program strong.
