Taking Stock: A Thoughtful First Step Toward Planning for the Future of Your Woods
For many forest landowners, thinking about the future of their land can feel both important and overwhelming. Questions come up slowly—What do I want my woods to look like in 20 or 50 years? Who will care for this land after me? Where do I even begin?
Taking Stock is a supportive, small-group online course for forest landowners who are thinking about the future of their land and wondering where to begin. Offered by Vermont Woodlands Association, the course is designed to help you slow down, learn about your options, and take meaningful first steps toward a plan that reflects your values and goals for your woods. You do not need to have a plan already to participate. Participants join a small cohort of fellow landowners and hear from experienced professionals, while also working one-on-one with a legacy planning coach to begin shaping what comes next.
