We’re Hiring: LEAP Program Coordinator (Part-Time)
Vermont Woodlands Association is seeking a part-time Logger Education to Advance Professionalism (LEAP) Program Coordinator to lead and support the statewide LEAP Vermont program.
The LEAP Program plays a vital role in advancing professionalism, safety, and sustainability within Vermont’s logging community through high-quality education, certification, and ongoing learning opportunities. In 2026, LEAP became a program of Vermont Woodlands Association (VWA), advancing VWA’s vision of supporting forest stewardship, from landowner to logger.
About the Role
The LEAP Program Coordinator oversees the day-to-day operations of the LEAP program and helps ensure the continued relevance and integrity of LEAP certification. This role coordinates educational workshops and events, supports program communications and administration, and works closely with loggers, instructors, partners, the LEAP Advisory Committee, and VWA leadership.
Position Details

Part-time: Up to 20 hours per week, will consider independent contractor

Flexible schedule, with increased hours during peak workshop season (March–June)

Location: Remote or based in VWA’s Montpelier office

Travel required for in-person workshops and events held across Vermont

Compensation: Based on experience and qualifications
