Bluffside Farm, Newport
Many landowners in the Northeast Kingdom are seeing a growing threat to biodiversity and ecosystem function on their land: invasive plants. Forests, farms, and even front yards in Vermont can be a haven for diverse natural communities and vegetation, which, in turn, support clean air, clean water, and wildlife habitats. But some plants spread aggressively and threaten these lands.
Join the NorthWoods Stewardship Center for an in-person workshop to learn about ways that the Vermont Land Trust has been taking action to manage invasive plants at the Bluffside Farm in Newport. We will see various treatment methods for controlling barberry, honeysuckle and buckthorn, and we will discuss how, when, and why to take action. Register Here
