35 years of dedication, VT-LEAP remains the guidepost while continuing to offer:
Numerous educational and technical workshops and practical training for loggers and timber harvesters. A VT-LEAP certification means being dedicated to a healthy and sustainable working forest that will benefit many generations to come.
There are many reasons to be certified through VT-LEAP: selling wood to mills that require certification, professional advancement, and recognition by landowners. Whatever your reason, VT-LEAP is currently the only recognized logger education organization in the State of Vermont.
How to join
- Choose your track: mechanized or non-mechanized.
- Register for the core curriculum workshops for that track. See the upcoming workshops.
- Complete the core requirements within two years to become VT-LEAP certified.
- Keep your certification current with continuing education every two years.
Membership
A new VT-LEAP membership model begins January 1, 2027. Details are coming soon. Stay tuned.
