VWA’s Climate Program supports landowners and forestry professionals in understanding the relationship between forests and climate through practical, science-based forestry education and stewardship.
We Offer:
New Opportunity: Healthy Woods Checkups
As part of our Healthy Woods Planning Initiative, we are offering Healthy Woods Checkups, an opportunity for landowners to spend 2–4 hours walking their woods with a consulting forester to discuss goals and concerns, assess forest conditions, and identify practical next steps for the future of their forest. Participating consulting foresters receive a stipend for their time, and landowners receive an assessment of their woods and recommendations for future management.
