Working in the woods can mean being hours from emergency help. This one-day, hands-on workshop is designed for loggers, harvesters, foresters, and landowners who work on timber properties. Participants will practice responding to chainsaw and crush injuries, severe bleeding, shock, and environmental exposure, along with CPR and AED use. The course focuses on assessing and caring for someone injured in a remote forest setting until professional help arrives. Participants who complete the workshop earn wilderness first aid and CPR/AED certifications valid for three years.
Registration is required. There is a $60 registration fee for this program.
