Women & Our Woods (WOW)—formerly known as Women Owning Woodlands - Vermont—is a collaborative initiative committed to empowering women landowners and woodland enthusiasts. Our goal is to create inclusive opportunities for women to engage in thoughtful forest stewardship that ensures Vermont’s woodlands remain healthy, connected and well-managed for generations to come.

Who We Are

We are a collective of partners united by a shared goal: connecting women landowners and woodland enthusiasts with the information, resources and support they need to make confident, informed decisions about their land.

How We Started

While the seeds of WOW-VT were planted years ago by individual organizations, the collaborative effort officially took root in 2019. 

Since then, we’ve grown into a coordinated initiative focused on building a sustainable support network and offering educational and networking opportunities tailored specifically for women woodland owners and enthusiasts across Vermont.
