WOW Chainsaw Safety: A Practical Workshop Led by and for Women
Join Women & Our Woods a full-day, hands-on Chainsaw Safety 101 course taught by two experienced female instructors and designed for anyone who uses—or plans to use a chainsaw around their property. The day long workshop will include the basics of chainsaw maintenance (we'll take apart a chainsaw and discuss some of the most common saw won't start type of issues, and have an opportunity to try-on all sorts of personal protective gear from helmets to chaps to chainsaw pants. We will also have an opportunity to use both gas powered chainsaws and battery powered saws. We will not be felling trees, but we will have lots of time individually running saw and making cuts in blocks.
Pre-registration is required. Registration fee is $200. You'll walk away with free products, experience running different type of chainsaws, trying different gear, and a new found confidence to tackle that next woodland project! Space is limited.
